TANDEM Göttingen will be happy to assist you with finding accommodation for the duration of your course. In this case you are required to pay the cost of your selected type of accommodation along with your course fees. We will reserve your accommodation once we have received this payment. Please note that we allocate the accommodation in the order that payment is received, so it may be that we cannot provide you with your preferred type of accommodation. In this event we will suggest other options. If you book private accommodation with breakfast or half board, you cannot specify the kind of food that you are served. The meals will reflect normal German eating habits. Göttingen is very easy to reach, (see “Getting here” on our website). You should arrive on the Sunday before your course begins and leave on the Saturday after your course ends. Your room must be cleared no later than 11 am on Saturday.
It is possible to cancel at any time before the start of the course. Upon agreement with the administrator’s office, it is also possible to postpone the start of your course to a later date. Cancellations must be made in writing.
A processing fee of 50 euros is charged for cancellations up to 6 weeks before the start of the course.
If you cancel within 6 weeks of the start of the course, we charge you the costs that have been incurred by the cancellation. These range from a minimum of 200 euros to a maximum of the full participant fee.
If you fail to show up for the course or if you cancel after the course has begun at Tandem Göttingen, then the full price of the course is payable. If the number of teaching units are reduced because of low participant numbers in a group at a particular level (see details on the corresponding course page), this does not constitute a reason for cancellation.
No refunds are given in the event that we provided a visa certificate.
We do not charge processing fees if a replacement participant is found.
Payments are reimbursed if they exceed the processing fees.
Leaving a course:
For courses that last longer than 12 weeks, it is possible to give 4 weeks’ notice to the end of the month if you wish to leave the course. Statutory provisions on extraordinary termination remain unaffected.
If a course cannot run for reasons outside the control of Tandem Göttingen, all fees paid to that date will be reimbursed. Any further claims cannot be accepted. The number of teaching units may be reduced if a group at a particular level does not have enough participants.
