The aim of this course is to reinforce and build upon a grammatical foundation, to improve oral skills and above all to encourage enjoyment of the foreign language. The teaching takes place in two or three groups which are formed according to ability. Needless to say, all of our staff are highly qualified and experienced native German teachers. Through a combination of intensive teaching, various extracurricular activities and regional excursions, we help the students to discover this foreign country.
Thus, they become motivated to learn the language. The contact with carefully selected and experienced host-families consolidates the knowledge of the foreign language which the students acquire and provides a fulfilling sense of achievement. We assume that participants have a knowledge of German that is at least equivalent to a year of German lessons in school.
The course features are:
Age: 14 to 17 years
Tuition: 40 (two weeks) or 60 (three weeks) lessons in small groups
Accommodation: With host families
Food: Full board
Extracurricular activities: 2 day-trips
Half-day excursion to a leisure centre
Town "scavenger hunt" with prizes for the winners
Visit to the cinema or theatre (according to programme)
3 afternoons of sports
Guided museum visit
Boat trip on Lake Kies
Bowling
Extras: Transfers from the railway station to family and back
