I N T E N S I V E C O U R S E S
The Intensive Courses ( 20 lessons per week ) run throughout the year. It's up to you to decide how many weeks you want to participate. At Tandem Göttingen it will take you only eight weeks if you like to complete a whole level of the Common European Framework.
In our Intensive Courses you learn quickly and efficiently in small, international groups (6 to 10 participants). Experienced native speakers guarantee individual support. During the summer (July to September) you can participate in the summer courses , which include an exciting leisure time programme. So you can get to know Göttingen and Germany.

Absolute beginners can only start at these days. Participants with some knowledge of German (at least 100 teaching hours) can start every Monday. After a brief assessment they will be placed in the appropriate group of their ability. Of course you can book several intensive courses in a row.

The Intensive Courses Plus ( 20 plus 5 lessons per week) include the Intensive course and an additional one-on-one teaching hour per day. This means that every day you will receive a lesson particularly tailored to suit your needs and wishes. Whether you want to strengthen your listening comprehension, pronunciation, grammar or business German - the teacher is there just for you and helps you to reach your goals quickly.

The leisure time programme could include, for instance:
A scavenger hunt with prizes for the winners
A video screening each week with German movies

Ticket costs are not included in the course fees.
NEW: Each intensive course contains a beer seminar at the end of each level. We do not just talk about German beer culture, different kinds of beers, their history and origins, but sample them as well.

Information
Small groups:

All levels from A1 to C2
The levels C1 and C2 are only taught as Power Courses
Free choice of duration of the course
In 8 weeks an improvement of one level can be achieved.
Placement test on the first day of the course
Minimum age: 16 years
*4-5 participants = 15 lessons;
*2-3 participants = 10 lessons;
* 1 person = 5 lessons per week
**The school remains closed on national holidays. There is no refund for the lessons not taught on these days.
